Outdoor weddings in Dubai are only practical from October through April. During these months, evening temperatures drop to a comfortable 20–28°C — ideal for al fresco dining. Summer months (May–September) are prohibitively hot for outdoor events. If your wedding date falls in the shoulder months (October or April), have a plan for cooling: misting fans, shaded canopies or an air-conditioned tent.
Food Safety Outdoors
Heat is the biggest challenge for wedding catering outdoors in Dubai. A professional catering company takes this seriously: refrigerated transport for all cold dishes, chilled display cases on the buffet, food served in small quantities and replenished frequently rather than sitting out for hours. Hot food must be maintained above 63°C. Ask your caterer specifically how they manage food safety at outdoor events — a good answer is a strong positive signal.
Logistics Your Caterer Needs to Know
Before confirming outdoor wedding catering, your caterer will need: venue access times, distance from vehicle drop-off to setup area, availability of electricity and water connections, nearest kitchen facilities (if any) and the surface type (grass, patio, sand). A site visit is standard practice for reputable wedding catering companies. Never book outdoor catering with a company that skips the site visit.
