What We Were Asked to Do
JetX, a fast-growing tech company based in Dubai, wanted a relaxed outdoor team-building event on JBR Beach for their 80-strong team. The goal was to boost team spirit after a demanding product launch sprint.
Requirements:
- 3 live BBQ stations with a variety of proteins
- Festive non-alcoholic bar: cocktails, lemonades, fresh juices
- Team games organisation alongside catering
- Full equipment supply: grills, tables, chairs, umbrellas
- Vegetarian and vegan options for 30% of attendees
The challenge: outdoor location on a public beach with limited power access — everything had to be self-sufficient and smoke-free near other beachgoers.
How We Delivered the Project
We used professional charcoal grills with custom wind shields to manage smoke in the sea breeze. Three stations ran simultaneously: classic BBQ, seafood grill, and a 100% plant-based station.
Menu highlights:
- BBQ station: beef burgers, lamb kofta, chicken wings, corn on the cob
- Seafood station: shrimp skewers, salmon, whole sea bream
- Vegan station: portobello mushrooms, halloumi, grilled vegetables, falafel
- Sides: homemade coleslaw, grilled pita, 5 house sauces, mezze
- Bar: watermelon lemonade, mango lassi, mojito mocktails, sparkling water
Setup was completed in 2 hours. Our team stayed for clean-up and left the beach in perfect condition.
Event Outcome
The team unanimously called it the best company outing in JetX history. All three grill stations were fully operational for 4 continuous hours, serving fresh food on demand without queues.
The company COO booked us for the next quarter's team-building event before the current one was over.
